Half-Masted 3.2 - Cedar Valley Area Improv Troupe

Cedar Falls, Iowa - Half-Masted 3.2, the local comedy improv troupe that has performed to rave reviews for several years is returning for another year of funny. The troupe consists of between 10 and 15 University of Northern Iowa students and recent alumni, and is directed by Dr. Doug Shaw, a UNI Professor of Mathematics. They perform unscripted sketches and games for happy audiences throughout Iowa, and do instructional seminars for both youth and adults.

Dr. Shaw has performed with several improv troupes throughout the Midwest, including the popular Impossibles, the house troupe of a long-running Minneapolis variety show called Look Ma, No Pants! The troupe members are, in alphabetical order: Melissa Cameron, Jeff Cumberlin, Sara Johnson, Ben Kass, Sarah McConnell, Wayland McQueen, Jordan Meyer, A.J. Platt, Mike Schminke, Crystal Schneider, Anthony Soike, Ren Waddell and Jesse Wozniak. All members of Half-Masted 3.2 have previous experience in theater, improv, both or neither.
